DJ Markino’s musical journey began in the 1980s with the internationally renowned rock-pop band Gaznevada. In the 1990s, he transitioned into the disco scene, where he collaborated with DMC and worked alongside legendary producers and artists like Paul Oakenfold and Larry Levan. As a pioneer of Italian House Music, Marco’s tracks have graced prestigious charts, including the US Billboard and the Official UK Top 40 Singles Chart

Since May 2007, Marco has been based in Beijing, where he established himself as a resident DJ in several prestigious clubs while also performing as a guest DJ. In 2022, he reconnected with his original band, Gaznevada, who signed a new contract with Warner Music Italy in the summer of 2024, leading to the release of a new album and a series of live DJ sets in some of Europe’s most renowned clubs, including Berghain in Berlin, widely regarded as the global temple of techno music. After a six-month residency at Vision Club in Dubai, Marco is now based in Bologna.
